I love that Sheridan Road is lined with old houses that now house university departments. Much more character than a bunch of large buildings.

Zingara
This is the boat that Aubrey will be sailing up Lake Michigan for the next few days.
You can track his progress at http://www.ionearth.com/2010/cycracetomackinac/ and search for Zingara (Division: Multihull, Section: 2). The site is not working at 2pm as I post this but hopefully soon. Aubrey's start is at 2:10pm

A tornado warning forced us to take shelter under the stadium for 45 minutes. This was what we re-emerged to see. Shortly after the rest of the competition was canceled, before all the top corps could perform. We were pretty upset and I spent a long time feeling like our vacation was ruined.

On the field at TCF Bank Stadium is Minnesota Brass, and all-age senior corps. Our friend James is on the snare line and did an awesome job! This was after 2 weather delays because of rain and lightening.

@dailyshoot #ds228 Construction seems to be perpetual: streets, sidewalks, buildings. Make a photo of something under construction today. (man this html newsletter was a pain to figure out how to send. Will be hitting the outbox tonight after my tester -Aubrey- gets home!)
